advent spectacular | day 8

Day 8 | Make some cookies.  Specifically Peanut Butter Blossoms.  A household favorite that we finally started making year round, instead of just at Christmas.  I made myself step away and let the girls just dump the ingredients in (in order, of course) without me micromanaging to keep the explosion and cleanup to a minimum.  A lot less flour ended up in the bowl and much more, well, everywhere else.  But you know what?  They were the best batch we've ever made.  I now know we've been using too much flour.  The girls are loving being told how amazing they were to make that awesome dough.

...and I was cleaning my kitchen until almost 10pm.
