So the squirrels ruined a good thing for themselves. The broke both of our bird feeders. The handles were made of plastic and their weight snapped them. I caught 4 of them hanging on there at once! So we are currently testing out a supposedly squirrel-proof feeder that when one hangs off it, the weight of the squirrel pulls little metal leaf shaped doors over the openings. I was very skeptical, but so far it seems to be working. We'll continue the testing phase for another week or so before investing in a second one. Just thought Ford might like an update on our progress. Please let him know I took his information under advisement when looking for a new feeder!
